We are so excited to be able to offer choirs, keyboardists and instrumentalists such a high-quality assortment at the click of a mouse. Bands.com aims to take the hassle out of managing an online presence, and give bands a 100 percent free means of selling music downloads and merchandise. As the social web continues to grow, the need for bands to be in multiple spaces to reach their audience is increasing. The site allows band members to set up a single profile to aggregate and manage all of the spaces they currently participate in, and will give them a free and easy platform on which to sell their music and merchandise.

From their latest Tweet to the album that drops next week, their Bands.com page has it all. The profile can be set up to automatically pull in everything from Facebook updates to YouTube videos and beyond, making the bands website can be a fully automated digital powerhouse. For more tech savvy band members, the option also exists to fully customize and manually manage every option on the site.

We saw a need that no one else was filling, and we jumped at the opportunity, said Anthos Chrysanthou, CEO of Emerge Media. Building a website is expensive, and maintaining dozens of social profiles is time consuming. We wanted to give bands a viable alternative that allows them to spend less time and resources managing their online presence.

Emerge Media, an Internet media company headquartered in Chicago, Ill., is behind some of the biggest sites on the web including Cing.com and Womens-Health.com.

Judas Priest has reigned supreme for 30 years as the most influential and commercially successful pure heavy metal band, and the masters are being honored with the career-spanning, four-CD, 65-track box set 'Metalogy' scheduled for release on May 4, 2004, by Sony Music/Legacy Records. The worldwide reverence for Judas Priest has resulted in sales of 20 million albums and countless sold-out concerts.

'Metalogy,' the first-ever Judas Priest box set, was assembled with the full participation of the band and it covers music recorded worldwide for the Gull, Sony Music/Columbia, CMC International, SPV, Atlantic and JVC labels between 1974 and 2002. Remastered hits, fan favorites, live rarities, B-sides and a previously unreleased demo are included. And as a bonus, the initial pressing of 'Metalogy' will include a live DVD of a complete concert filmed on December 12, 1982, at Mid South in Memphis, TN, on the 'Screaming for Vengeance' tour. This show was released on home video as 'Judas Priest Live' but it has been out of print for many years, and fans have often requested that it be reissued. This new DVD is mastered in pristine 5.1 Surround Sound for the ultimate Priest live concert experience.

Fans will be thrilled with the packaging of 'Metalogy.' The 7×7 box is appropriately wrapped in leather and metal studs. The 7×7 full color book features a full discography, biographical essay, timeline and numerous previously unpublished photos.
